Lubricant Raw Material PLURASAFE®WS5100

Plurasafe®WS 5100 can be applied in anti-wear lubricants, hydraulic fluids, compressor lubricating oils, high-temperature lubricants, paper mill and cardboard lubricants, and rubber lubricants.

Plurasafe®WS 5100 is non-corrosive, has a low pour point, excellent film strength, and load-carrying capacity. Unlike mineral oils and other synthetic lubricants, Plurasafe®WS 5100 does not form sludge, varnish, gum, or other types of carbon deposits due to decomposition at high temperatures. Additionally, the solubility of gases such as ethylene, hydrogen, methane, and other petrochemical-based gases in Plurasafe®WS 5100 is significantly lower than in polyolefins and petroleum lubricating oils. In gas compressor applications, the higher the solubility of gas in the lubricant, the faster the viscosity of the lubricant decreases. Formulations based on Plurasafe®WS 5100 can better maintain the viscosity of the lubricant, resulting in improved lubricity and longer compressor life.

In addition to the aforementioned applications, the unique properties of Plurasafe®WS 5100 lubricant make it suitable for enhancing lubricant formulations in many other applications, including metalworking fluids, two-stroke engine lubricants, spindle and release lubricants—brake fluids, lubricating and bearing oils, among others.

Plurasafe®WS 5100 is soluble in cold water and separates from aqueous solutions at high temperatures (inverse solubility). This property can be used to transfer lubricating aids to hot metal surfaces or cutting edges, resulting in better cooling, reduced tool wear, and improved surface finish.
