To prevent such issues, a back pressure of 0.1 to 0.3 Bar must be added at the outlet of the metering pump. Installing a back pressure valve in the outlet pipeline of the metering pump can achieve this. Pulsation dampeners utilize the compressibility of gas to cushion fluid pulsations in pipeline transport.
